Our Team Crossroads' staff is an eclectic mix of faith backgrounds with a common commitment to follow Jesus and help others follow Jesus. Our staff is a mix of paid and volunteer members, and they are committed to leading Crossroads forward and to helping you take spiritual steps.

Emily Hay  (Chief Igniter)  Emily leads Ignite, Crossroads' ministry with young adults. She's an accomplished musician and sound engineer, and on most Sundays, you will find her solving problems for whoever's running the sound board.

Lynn Kellner  (Sparkler Extraordinaire)  Lynn is the brains behind Sparks, our multi-sensory program for 4 yr-olds - 5th graders. She's been involved in kid's ministry for years and years and just loves kids. Lynn is married to Rick, and they have lots of kids; only two are still at home: Jonathan and Dani.

Rick Kellner  (Interim Lead Pastor)  Rick is a seasoned worship leader and musician/songwriter. He's served on staff at several churches in the metro DC area, and we're in high cotton that he's at Crossroads! (For you yankees, that means we're really happy.) Rick is married to Lynn (look up).

Melba Miller  (Executive Pastor)  Melba helps us connect with God and with each other, which are pretty much the most important things we do as a church community. She has one and a half degrees from seminary and loads of experience doing this stuff. She's not in charge, but she probably should be! Melba is married to a guy named Guy (we think that's funny too!), and they have two fairly grown-up children and a dog.

Steve Phillips  (All Things Financial)  Steve handles all of the church finances. That's not saying much, but somebody has to do it! Steve and Katie (his wife) have two kids: Rachel and Tim.

Scott Steers  (Worship Leader & 80s Rocker)  Scott is one of our regular worship leaders. He plays acoustic, bass, and can rip up an electric guitar. He prefers to play 80s-style heavy metal, though we haven't figured out how to work that into a gathering . . . yet. Scott and Suzanne (his lovely bride) have three kiddos: Mike, Kevin, and Bethany.

Chris Wirt  (Pastor with Students)  Chris has over a decade of experience in student ministry, and most of his former students still like him. Chris is married to Kim and they have a daughter Emily and a son Timothy.
