what we do
Our goal for all followers of Christ is that we live and reveal the Kingdom of God. Instead of having lots of programs and events that chew up all of your free time, we'd prefer that you actually have a life and live it well. Consequently, we don't do a whole lot of stuff.
That said, we do some stuff, and most of what we do centers around relationships: between us and God, and between us and each other. We feel pretty sure that's what Jesus meant when He said, "Love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence. This is the most important command, the first on any list. But there is a second to set alongside it: Love others as well as you love yourself." (Matthew 22:37-39 in The Message.)
- [weekly worship] We gather together every Sunday at 10:30AM for a time of rockin' worship and relevant teaching. Our style is casual (read shorts and t-shirts), but our attention to God's leadership is focused. Join us this Sunday and meet some of the most genuine people you've ever met. Email Melba for more info.
- [small groups] We place a high priority on authentic relationships, and small groups are the main way we help you connect with others. Groups are varied in size, location, frequency, and agenda, but odds are there's a group that's right for you. Life is a journey -- don't do it alone. Email Melba for more info.
- [ignite (20-somethings-ish)] Ignite is the coolest segment of Crossroads, since half of them are single and most of them don't have kids yet. But that doesn't stop them from living the life God intends them to live. Email Emily or check out their myspace for more info.
- [catalyst (6th-12th grades)] Catalyst is Crossroads' ministry for 6th-12th graders. For more info, email Chris or check out the Catalyst website. (The Catalyst website has more info than Chris, so click over there if you really want help.)
- [sparks (4 yrs old - 5th grade)] Sparks is Crossroads' version of "Sunday School" for kids aged 4 years to 5th grade. It's a multi-sensory experience that focuses on one key theme per month. For more information on Sparks email Lynn.
- [nursery (~1yrs - 3 yrs old)] Our nursery is clean and well stocked, our nursery workers love kids and have background screenings, and best of all, it lasts for the entire 10:45AM gathering, so you get a good, long break. Email Jenny with any questions.
- [setup team] What you see when you walk into AACS takes lots of work, so we ask everyone who calls Crossroads "home" to join a setup team. Email Josh when you're ready. Or when you feel guilty.
- [tech team] While we're not the techiest group in the world (see how this picture is messed up?), we do have a pretty decent handle on A/V trends. If you like that sort of stuff, email our resident "mathlete" Bill.
- [worship team] If you're a musician or a vocalist, and you want to get involved in our rockin' worship team, email Rick. Regardless of your skill level or experience, there's probably a place for you . . . unless you're like, really bad.
- [missions stuff] Since missions is such a core part of our identity, we've given it it's own page. Email Melba for more info.
